A heated dispute over garbage disposal in Chatra, Jharkhand, escalated into a violent altercation between cousins, resulting in severe injuries to one party. The altercation occurred on Liaqat Ali Road of Line Mohalla in Chatra city, where one party armed themselves with a sword and directly attacked the other party. In the ensuing violence, a young man named Umair had his hand severed, while his brother and other family members sustained injuries. Umair's condition is critical, leading to his referral from Hazaribagh Medical College to RIMS for advanced treatment. Responding to the incident, the police swiftly arrested one of the accused, while the victim's family implicated four individuals in the case.
According to the FIR application, the dispute erupted between cousins over garbage disposal behind their house. Subsequently, Mr. Javed, Mohd. Sibgatullah, Zeba Parveen, and Sefa Parveen allegedly entered the victim's house, verbally abused them, and launched a vicious attack with a sharp sword, resulting in Umair's severe injury. The application also alleges that the assailants vandalized the victim's property, made death threats, and assaulted Umair's mother, further exacerbating the situation.
